Web Hosting is the service providing space on the Internet for websites.

Web hosting services work by storing your website files in high-powered computers (servers) connected to a very fast network. When someone types in your web address or Domain (as explained below), the Internet connects to the web server holding your website files and then transfers your website information back to their computer. Anything related to managing these servers and its software, security, support, bandwidth, speed and so much more, is what 831 is all about!

Domain Names

You need to have  a domain name or web address (www.831web.com) so your website can be found on the Internet. The domain name is essentially your company’s Internet address; the same way your company’s street address is used to find your offices, a domain name is used to find your website. Make sure that you come up with a domain name that fits your company, looks good in print and is catchy when you hear it.

Web Site Maintenance

If you are not interested in getting trained on one of our content management systems to do your own updates to your web site we can help.  We can set up a hourly, monthly or yearly contract to help you with your updating needs.  If you just need a few things taken care of a month or daily updates we can get the job done properly.
